Lush's The Kiss

I love Lush’s holiday collections, including their Valentine’s Day limited edition products! This year, Lush has introduced a new lip balm/gloss to their Valentine’s line, called The Kiss*. The Kiss is housed in a tin, like all of Lush’s lip balms. What’s different about this product, is that this is actually a moisturizing gloss!

The Kiss is a very interesting formula; it’s almost like a mousse! I definitely wasn't expecting this whipped, creamy formula when I opened the lid for the first time. The actual product is pink in colour, but applies fairly sheer, with a glossy finish. The Kiss is scented, with is very sweet and girly. The scent isn't too strong, and it does fade as it’s applied to your lips.

How Lush describes The Kiss:

“The Kiss is another first from the LUSH labs; a delicious vegan lip gloss that's absolutely free from preservatives! With luxurious shea and cupuaçu butters, we've created a light balm to moisturize and protect the lips, while giving them a subtle pink glossy sheen – and a delicious almond and mandarin flavor to boot. Re-apply frequently to keep your lips plump and soft after all that kissing!”

The formula of The Kiss is hydrating, but I don’t think that it will cure any dry, chapped lips. If your lips are in good condition, and you wanted something scented and glossy, I think you would like this. The Kiss is great for anyone worried about harsh chemicals or products being placed on their lips, as this gloss is free of preservatives.
